Join us for the Patriot Challenge Day, a seasonal event hosted by the Parkour Generations Boston team that will offer a mix of physical challenges, team activities, and a little bit of history. Get out and enjoy the weather while exploring your city and learning a bit of local history while you’re at it! The challenges will test your functional fitness and parkour skills and how you and your friends can apply those skills on the cold hard cobble-stoned streets of “the real world”. There is more than just some tea on the line as you seek to overcome the “red shirts” and relive some of the epic feats that made Boston the birthplace of a (fitness) revolution. The event is open to all abilities and fitness levels, whether you are an absolute beginner or seasoned pro, there is a space for you! You’ll learn, grow, find challenges and maybe conquer some mental or physical obstacles you haven’t even considered. All movement backgrounds are welcome; CrossFit, climbing, obstacle course racing, yoga, pilates, circus arts, boxing, weightlifting, dance, gymnastics, couch-sitting, and anything in between. WHERE TO MEET: We’ll gather on the North Point Park Island, close to the playground. AGES & PREREQUISITES: Open to all ages 14+. No prior experience necessary SCHEDULE: 9:30 Group Warmup & Challenge Descriptions 9:45 Let the Challenges Begin! 11:30 Tea Time WHAT TO BRING: - Comfortable weather-appropriate athletic clothing - You know what works best for you, be prepared for New England weather as we’ll be out there no matter what the forecast says! - Water Bottle - There are water fountains nearby but we strongly recommend bringing a water bottle. - Small Bag - To keep your belongings in. We’ll have a “base camp” but please keep in mind that PkGen Boston is not responsible for your belongings. - Lots of energy! Have questions or want to bring a group?
